For this project, we worked hand-in-hand with Sanders Studios, a 3D Modelling and design consultancy based in Falmouth and London. We were tasked with creating a ‘luxury’ holiday/weekend apartment living/dining space for a client of our choice, who would be moving to the Newquay area, Cornwall. I chose to opt for a mid-century-modern approach to my design, echoing the current trends displayed in magazines and journals such as Elle Decoration. The site overlooks the Gannel Estuary, and I wanted to make use of the generous amounts of natural light available, so chose light materials that complimented the estuary views. My colour pallete focused on complimentary warm tones of blue, yellow and orange, which worked well in the space we were assigned.
